The USDA notified the RRPS Student Nutrition Department in Collaboration with SFE they will be given the Action for Healthy Kids (AFHK) and the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Food and Nutrition Service (FNS) Healthy Meals Initiative Innovation in School Meals Award. This award was given for the Carne Asada tacos, Posole, and Salads that we offer to our students in our district. The Student Nutrition Department will be recognized at a conference in Las Vegas in October.
